Calling all Annoying Dads for Choir Duty

If you were at the 2017 Provincial Championships in Kamloops, you likely saw the members of the Annoying Dads clubs singingthe National Anthems before the racing started Saturday.

Even if you have not heard of the Clubs, I'm sure you know the type because they exist in every club in the BCSSA. The guys who purposely put themselves out there to embarass their kids. Telling dad jokes, shouting at swim meets, dancing in public, that sort of thing. When the BCSSA was lookingforlast yearsanthem singer, the Simon Fraser Annoying Dads stepped up andwent on a recruitment blitz to add members fromother regions. We had about 40 dads involved and I believe we had represtation from 6 of the 8 regions.

The Annoying Dads have been asked to perform the anthem again this year. It would be great to get representation from Cudas dads again this year. Start warming up your vocal chords and find a buddy to bring along - this is really fun. We have the template to make up an Annoying Dad's t-shirt for you. Email Angela if you are interestedabattistn@icloud.com

Poco Marlins are also encouraging all clubs to start an"Inappropriate Moms" chapter. Template are available for these shirts as well. Email Angela for these shirts as well.

Registration for Fall Program

Registration for our Fall program will be on-line this year. We are making the final adjustments to the formsand expect to release to all 2018 members via email next week with the link and instructions.

In the meanwhile, please see the schedule here (link to pdf) . All sessions will be at Bonsor and we are offering the same practice times as last fall/ winter.

We strongly encourage all our members to enrol to maintain allthe progress gained duringthe summer. It is especially beneficial for the junior prepand junior swimmers who are stillsolidifying the mechanics of the 4 strokes.
