Burnaby Barracudas offers training and competition in Speed Swim, Water Polo and Dive over a 16 week competitive season that runs from May 1st to mid-August at Burnaby’s outdoor pools – Central Park, MacPherson, Kensington and Robert Burnaby. In the off-season (September – April) the club also offers a swim conditioning program called “maintenance” at Bonsor indoor pool.

Operation
The Barracudas is a member of the BC Summer Swimming Association (BCSSA), the governing body for competitive summer aquatics in the province. The club was formed in 1959 and is a parent run, non-profit society. It is funded from members’ fees, various grants, and fundraising activities. Club funds are spent on pool rental, coaching salaries, equipment and club administration.
