Overview
All Swimming Officials are volunteers and contribute greatly to the development of the program at all levels. Becoming an official requires some training – usually a 2-hour course followed by mentoring by an experienced official on deck during swim meets. Courses are offered in May each season prior to the start of competitions in June. Dates and locations will be posted to the home page of this website.
If you are a former swimmer, aquatics instructor or lifeguard this is an easy job for you. However, anyone with an interest in the sport can be trained as an official.
It’s a great way to learn the sport better, bond with your own swimmer and get to know swimmers and parents from other clubs. Officials also get the best view of the races!!
